From WordPress 2.9 there is no need to insert videos with the <embed> tag. You just simply need to drop the video URL in your WordPress blog post. It's so simple. isn’t it?. Yeah, it is. Thanks to the support of oEmbed

For example, I’m going to show you how to add a YouTube video without the <embed> tag. Take a look.

Step 1: Enable Auto-embeds feature

Go to your Media Settings page on the WordPress admin setting section. Make sure, the Auto-embeds feature is enabled. If it is not enabled, please enable it.

Step 2: Copy video URL

now go to YouTube.com and copy the URL of the video, that you want to include in your post.

Step 3: Paste video URL

Paste the URL of the video directly into your blog post and save it.

Now it’s done. Preview it, you can see the video in your post.
